WHY US?

Experience

We have years of search and rescue experience supporting hundreds of cases throughout the United States and Canada.  Experience has taught us in many cases you do not need a full-scale response; we are a small group of professional and discrete handlers.  We can size up or scale down the search as needed. We are networked in the K9 community and know who to call. We have years of experience working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency; local and regional emergency management, fire, and law enforcement departments; and other federal agencies requiring expertise in HRD.

Best Practices

We are a forensic service provider, following the forensic standards established by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences’ Standards Board, an ANSI-accredited organization, that provides accessible, high quality science-based and consensus forensic standards.  Specifically, ANSI/ASB Standard 076, Training and Certification of Canine Detection of Human Remains on Land, that serves as the baseline for general protocols for training HRD canines.  This standard promotes consistency across organizations utilizing K9s for the detection of human remains on land and relieves the judicial system of conflicting protocols.

Court Ready

Discovery of human remains incidents may result in an investigation that ends up in a courtroom.  All our K9s have excellent qualifications, maintain current certifications with their handlers, and have up-to-date training records.  When we support your agency you will be provided with detailed written reports, which include GPS mapping data.  Certifications, training records, the team’s curriculum vitae, and background checks are available upon request.
